Located in the Division of Villers-Cotterets, Corcy is one of the villages belonging to the Community of Municipalities of Villers-Cotterêts/Forêt de Retz. It is located 9 km from Villers-Cotterets, the city of Alexandre Dumas ; 12km from La Ferte-Milon, the town of Jean Racine ; 20km from Soissons, famous for the vase of Clovis and 45 km from Chateau Thierry, the town of Jean de la Fontaine. The route nationale 2, passing 5 km away from the north of our village, provides an easy access to Roissy Airport, Paris businesses and the Soissons area.
The train stops 5 trains per day in our village. Corcy has 306 inhabitants, since the last census in 2000. | The surface of our town is 7.25 km2, from which 3.49 km2 of the forest of Retz, representing nearly 60% of the land area. Which led a local poet to write that 'Corcy was a diamond laying in a green casket.' Academically, Corcy is part of a union and has a nursery school on its territory, which welcomes children living in the municipalities of Corcy, Longpont, Louâtre and Villers-Hélon.Corcy is a village of the future with 1/6th of its population under 10 years old.
